The Best Laid Plans was the 17th episode of Season 3 of Three's Company, also the 48th overall episode in the series. Directed by Dave Powers, the episode, which was co-written by John Baskin and Roger Shulman, originally aired on ABC-TV on February 13, 1979.
When Janet is terrified by a mouse in their bedroom, Jack takes advantage of the situation by offering to move in with Chrissy until the rodent is captured.
Janet panics when she sees a mouse in her bedroom. Generous Jack offers to switch rooms with her. Can Jack be making this gesture out of the goodness of his heart? Well, not exactly -- if Janet moves into his room, he'll be all that much closer to the toothsome Chrissy. "The Best Laid Plans" is adapted from "Of Mice and Friends," an episode of Three's Company's British sitcom prototype Man About The House.
