Born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, and educated at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, Young Patricia began her film career in 1947. On television, she appeared in such nighttime series as Rawhide, The Donna Reed Show, Perry Mason, and The Twilight Zone, as well as in daytime soap operas such as NBC-TV's Days of our Lives (as Addie Horton Olson Williams), ABC's All My Children (as Peg English), and CBS-TV's Guiding Light (as Sally Gleason). She appeared on a children's television show, Ghostwriter as Lana Barnes.
