Granville, who was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, is a veteran, stage, screen, and voice actor who lent his voice to the part of Race Bannon in the 1986 animated NBC Saturday Morning television series The New Adventures of Jonny Quest, Jonny's Golden Quest, Jonny Quest vs. The Cyber Insects, and eight episodes of The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.

He was also the second actor to portray attorney Walter Telford on the Canadian based soap opera, High Hopes.
