And Baby Makes Four is the seventeenth episode of Season 5 of Three's Company, and the 95th overall episode in the series.

Cindy breaks up with her boyfriend Doug after he persistently criticizes her. After talking with her pregnant friend about raising the child alone and returning home still upset about Doug, Jack and Janet become convinced that Cindy is pregnant. Jack decides to make an honest woman of Cindy and proposes to her, before the whole situation is straightened out.

Plot summaryEdit

Cindy's cryptic comments about her new boyfriend Doug, a fashion photographer, leave Jack and Janet exceedingly puzzled. At The Regal Beagle, Cindy dumps Doug when his criticism of her appearance becomes too much. And Cindy's waitress friend, Kelly, is quick to commiserate with her about the evils of men. Cindy returns home preoccupied by Kelly's decision about marrying the father of the child she's bearing, and unwilling to discuss Doug, further arousing Jack's and Janet's curiosity. And when Cindy asks Janet's opinion of unmarried motherhood, and then borrows baby clothes, the roommates conclude that Cindy is expecting - and hatch a hilarious plan to salvage her honor.

Note: Suzanne Somers makes her final appearance as Chrissy Snow in this episode.
