The gang believes that Mr. Roper is having an affair. The "other woman" is actually a real estate agent who is helping Mr. Roper sell the building and find a new home in Cheviot Hills.
Mr. Roper (Norman Fell) has a real surprise in store for his wedding anniversary -- he plans to move himself and Mrs. Roper (Audra Lindley) out of the apartment house and into a ritzy town house in Cheviot Hills. To that end, he begins hinting to Jack (John Ritter) and the girls that "someone will be moving out." Then he arranges a secret meeting with attractive real estate agent Mrs. Dawson (Ruta Lee). The result: Mrs. Roper and the roommates are convinced that Roper is having an affair.
